日本リーガルカウンセリング学会 第２回研究会実施

2014年 9 月25日 (木)、新宿文化センター会議室において、 本リーガルカウンセリング学会第２回研究会が開催されました。
学会顧問である櫻井光政弁護士から「多くの問題を抱える家族の事例検討～問題点の把握と対処」と題して家賃滞納による明け渡し請求に対する対応にはじまり、生活保護申請同行、孫の転校手続、学習支援、学校交渉、子の就職支援、債務整理等々、三世帯６人家族が抱える多くの問題点とその対処方法について報告がありました。
家族全員がそれぞれに問題を抱え、それがまた家族間の問題を生んでいる状況で、櫻井先生が真摯にそれぞれの家族と向き合い、口元にお粥を運ぶような細やかさで支援されている姿に参加者一同感銘を受けました。
質疑応答の後は「弁護士はここまでするのか」「どこかの時点で医療につなぐべき。いずれどこかの場面で攻撃の対象となる事が予想される」「今の日本の貧困層、特に子供をとりまく環境は、制度としても施設としても遅れている」「制度としてはイギリスのものが優れている」など、様々な視点からの意見交換が活発になされました。（学会事務局）

The 2nd Workshop Report (Sep.25 at Shinjuku Cultural Center)

A case study of a family with multiple complex problems was given by our legal counsel (special advisor), Mr. Mitsumasa Sakurai.
Mr. Sakurai explained about various issues he enthusiastically faced for his client (the family of six people, three generations living together), such as debt problems, house vacation demand by creditors, public assistant application, children’s education and employment support, etc.
After Q&A session, the committee members with diverse backgrounds discussed actively about wide-ranging topics such as legal counselor’s role and commitment to the client, problems in our current social and legal infrastructure and children’s support against poverty.
